Pretty much anybody who’s appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date has signed some sort of multi-picture deal, and Spidey himself, Tom Holland, is no different. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Holland has revealed that he’s currently got a six-movie deal for his role as ol’ Web-head.

The young actor confirmed, “They give you options, and those could be exercised whenever. Like a cameo in Avengers. I’m unclear as to which movies, though. I do know I have three Spider-Man movies and three solo movies contracted. But if you have another movie, Marvel is so good at working around it. They’re very respectful of your life, really. They understand that you have to work on other movies, and they try and fix it up so you can work around each other.”

What’s interesting there is Holland’s talk of “three solo movies”. We’ve known previously that Spider-Man: Homecoming was the start of a trilogy of new Spidey movies, but it’ll be interesting to see whether the “solo movies” referred to mean appearances in other heroes’ films or more a case of joining the action in larger team-up efforts such as Avengers: Infinity War.

Regardless of what the future has in store for the Wall-crawler, up next is Homecoming, in which he’ll be joined by the likes of Marisa Tomei’s Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, Michael Keaton’s Vulture, Bokeem Woodbine’s Shocker, Michael Chernus as The Tinkerer, and Zendaya as a lead female character known as ‘Michelle’ (but actually believed to possibly, potentially, maybe… actually be Mary Jane Watson).

To be directed by Cop Car’s Jon Watts, Spider-Man: Homecoming is set for a July 7th, 2017 release.
