What better way to start filming the sequel to one of the most well-received horror movies of the last decade than with a blessing?

Production is now officially underway on James Wan’s The Conjuring 2, but just to be sure to wade off any evil spirits a Priest was brought in to carry out a blessing on the set. Sounds like a great way to up the creepy mood amongst cast and crew. The shoot is taking place in the UK, with the film set to focus on the classic tale of the Enfield Poltergeist (yes, the one and same Enfield Poltergeist that was famously depicted in the BBC’s Ghostwatch back in 1992).

New Line Cinema took to their Twitter account with the following:

The Conjuring 2
will again feature Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, with Frances O’Connor signed on to play the role of a mother whose daughter is tormented by a horrifying haunting.

To be directed by Wan from a Chad and Carey Hayes script, The Conjuring 2 is currently set for a June 10th, 2016 release.
