Following the sad news of Terry Pratchett’s death last month, the release date of his final DISCWORLD novel, THE SHEPHERD’S CROWN, has been announced as being released on September 10th.

It will be the fifth novel in the TIFFANY ACHING series, following THE WEE FREE MEN, A HAT FULL OF SKY, WINTERSMITH and I SHALL WEAR MIDNIGHT. Although no details of the book’s plot have yet been released, it’s not much of an assumption to guess it will also feature the drinking, fighting and stealing Pictsies the Nac Mac Feegles.

It has been previously announced that Pratchett’s daughter Rhianna, herself also a professional writer, would carry on the DISCWORLD books after his death, but that this will be the last one from Sir Terry will make its reception especially bittersweet.

Expect more details as they are available.
