The vast majority of Stephen King’s impressive body of work has been adapted into a variety of big budget movies, TV movies, mini-series, and comic books etc. Following the success of CBS’ UNDER THE DOME, it’s little surprise that the network is on the hunt for more of the author’s work. THE THINGS THEY LEFT BEHIND is what they found.

The 2003 short story is set shortly after the devastation of 9/11, following a pair of investigators who take it upon themselves to take on the unfinished business of those who died in the attacks. Of course, this is Stephen King story so expect the supernatural. Deadline has reported that the series will be adapted by Seth Graham-Smith (ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER) and Greg Berlanti (ARROW, THE FLASH).
