After the underwhelming box-office of MACHETE; GRINDHOUSE; and SHORTS (me neither), Robert Rodriguez has decided to revisit his uber-successful SPY KIDS franchise to keep TROUBLEMAKER STUDIOS in the black. Subtitled ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD, the fourth entry in the SPY KIDS series now has a trailer, showcased here for your

viewing pleasure!

Ok, so you might need ALL THE ‘spare’ TIME IN THE WORLD to have followed these movies, but you gotta admit – this looks fun! And the presence of Alba, Gervais, Jeremy Piven and COMMUNITY’s Joe McCale certainly makes it much more appealing to us older folk.

It will certainly also be interesting to see how Rodriguez utilizes the new 3D technology having dabbled eight years earlier with SP3 and 2005’s (insipid) ADVENTURES OF SHARBOY AND LAVAGIRL, but unless he is expecting cinemas to invest even more millions in rumble-seats and extra staff to chuck stuff at the audience methinks the 4D tag is a tad optimistic. Or a joke. One of the two.

SPY KIDS 4: ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD is released this August.
