STARBURST is incredibly saddened to hear that Sir Roger Moore, legendary actor and UNICEF Ambassador has passed away aged 89.

The quintessential British character, he was best known for portraying suave and charismatic roles in the James Bond films and TV series such as The Saint and The Persuaders! As Ian Fleming’s 007, he appeared in 7 movies during the ‘70s and early ‘80s, including some of the most successful and enjoyable of the series. To many, nobody did it better.

In 1999, he was honoured with a CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), which was upgraded in 2003 to KBE (Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in recognition to his tireless charity work, particularly with UNICEF, which works for children in danger throughout the world.

Sir Roger will be missed by many. STARBURST sends thoughts to his family and friends.
