Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures have announced a release date for Saw 10, though the upcoming instalment remains untitled. The franchise’s return to cinemas is set on October 27th, 2023, Bloody Disgusting reports, right in time to terrify audiences for the Halloween season.

Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter director Kevin Greutert is returning to the franchise to helm this tenth instalment; a true veteran of the series, Greutert also edited Saw I through V, and Jigsaw. The most recent chapter in the Jigsaw villain-centric films was the Chris Rock-starrer Spiral: From The Book Of Saw, directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, and was released last year.

“We have been listening to what the fans have been asking for and are hard at work planning a movie that Saw aficionados and horror fans alike will love,” said producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules, founders of Twisted Pictures. “And part of that is giving the reins to Kevin Greutert, director of Saw VI, which is still one of the fans’ favourites in the entire series. More details will be revealed soon.”

Expect more info soon on casting and where the franchise might go next, so stay tuned for all Saw 10 updates as we get them!
