Whilst there’s still a whole load of mystery surrounding American Horror Story’s sixth season, we at least now known that Sarah Paulson will be returning for the show’s Season 6.

The news comes courtesy of the recent Television Critics Awards, with the actress confirming the news herself. Paulson has appeared in all five seasons of American Horror Story to date, and in season six she joins a confirmed cast that currently includes Kathy Bates, Lady Gaga, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Romika Annabell Osorio.

There’s still no definite news on what the main plot of Season 6 will centre on, although there’s plenty of speculation that this new season will focus on the disappearances at the Roanoke Colony.

American Horror Story returns to US screens on September 14th, with the UK season premiere set for September 16th.
