The upcoming Paramount+ Teen Wolf spinoff Wolf Pack has secured none other than Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar in a lead role.

Gellar will also executive produce the series. The genre veteran’s casting was revealed today during the Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con.

Written and executive produced by Teen Wolf developer and EP Jeff Davis, Wolf Pack is based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom. The series follows a teenage boy named Everett (Armani Jackson) and a girl, Blake (Bella Shepard), whose lives are forever transformed when a California wildfire wakes a terrifying supernatural creature. Wounded in the chaos of its attack, the pair are inexplicably drawn to each other and to two others, fraternal twins Harlan (Tyler Lawrence Gray) and Luna (Chloe Rose Robertson). As the full moon rises, the four teens must come together to unravel the secret that connects them – the bite of a werewolf.

Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as arson investigator Kristin Ramsey, a highly regarded expert in her field who is no stranger to loss. Ramsey is the one who is brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started the aforementioned wildfire.

She joins previously cast leads Jackson as Everett, Shepard as Blake, Chloe Rose Robertson as Luna and Tyler Lawrence Gray as Harlan.

Wolf Pack will premiere later this year.
