With director Seth Grahame-Smith having departed the project last month due to creative differences, Warner Brothers’ The Flash has brought in Rick Famuyiwa to sit in the director’s chair.

Deadline reports that Famuyiwa, who is likely best known for Dope and HBO’s Confirmation, will helm the Ezra Miller-starrer for The WB. No details are known on the cinematic Scarlet Speedster’s solo outing at this stage, although The LEGO Movie’s Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have put the screenplay together.

Miller’s Barry Allen, like a few others Justice League members, made his debut in this year’s so-so Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The Sultan of Speed’s solo movie is currently set for March 16th, 2018, with The Flash to first be a part of Zack Snyder’s Justice League Part One when that arrives in November 2017.
