The beautifully designed cover features the man from 221B Baker Street himself and asks: “Can you think like Sherlock?”
With over 200 puzzles to tackle, this book will test the reader’s skills of deduction against the genius of Britain’s greatest detective and his friends, rivals, and enemies. The range of puzzles are suitable for all levels, from comparatively easy Watson-level challenges to the more difficult Moriarty levels, but there is nothing too complicated or too easy to spoil the fun. Inside, Sherlock fans will also find a wide range of different types of games; including code deciphering and sequencing tests, as well as perceptual and logic problems to solve.
All the games and challenges include a nifty explanation of how Sherlock would have arrived at the solution. Fans of the hit series from Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss will certainly enjoy stepping inside the mind palace of Britain’s most celebrated detective and discovering how they measure up against ‘a high functioning sociopath’ and other characters from the world of Sherlock. However, while most of the puzzles just require typical Sherlock Holmes logic/analysis or ‘deduction’, some of them do require the reader to have at least a little knowledge of the BBC series. So, if you haven’t seen the series yet, this puzzle book might not be for you and might even spoil some episodes for you.
