The secretive monster movie from Scream and Ready or Not team Radio Silence is finally stepping into the light: Universal revealed that the feature is titled Abigail, and shared the first trailer ahead of its release April 19th.

The studio also revealed the first logline: “After a group of would-be criminals kidnap the 12-year-old ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, all they have to do to collect a $50 million ransom is watch the girl overnight. In an isolated mansion, the captors start to dwindle, one by one, and they discover, to their mounting horror, that they’re locked inside with no normal little girl.”

Previously, all that was hinted about the Radio Silence project was that it would be a reimagining of the 1936 Universal Classic Monsters movie, Dracula’s Daughter. Now, one might assume that means Abigail will be revealed as Dracula’s daughter, but nothing’s been confirmed. She certainly has the teeth for it.

Alisha Weir, who gave a star-making performance in Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical, stars as the titular Abigail. She is joined by Dan Stevens, Kathryn Newton, Melissa Barrera, William Catlett, Kevin Durand, Giancarlo Esposito, and the late actor Angus Cloud.
