The Folio Society, who are responsible for producing beautiful versions of wonderful books, have announced that the next Discworld novel to get the full Folio Society treatment will be Small Gods.

The book is widely regarded as one of Terry Pratchett’s most thoughtful and re-readable books in the series. It’s a widely loved work, which sits pride of place on the shelf of many fans. The 1992 novel tells the tale of an all-powerful god called Om, who becomes humbled by circumstance and must rely on a simple and kind soul called Brutha to survive. In typical Pratchett style it satirises organised religion, politics and people.

The Folio Society version will contain illustrations by Omar Rayyan, who also produced the pictures for the deluxe version of Mort, and we can give you a sneak peek at some of them today:
