Durham based theatre company Duck in Hat Productions need your help in bringing the adaptation of a Terry Pratchett novel to the stage.

FAUST ERIC! was Terry’s ninth DISCWORLD novel. It details the misadventures of a young boy who, desperate to summon a demon in order to gratify his own base urges, accidentally summons a rather lost looking wizard. This “wizard” is called Rincewind. Wackiness, as well as a series of hilarious pokes at the cliché that is hell, ensues.

A stage production of FAUST ERIC! has not been attempted before and Duck in Hat Productions have been planning this for some time. Permission was granted to the production company in January this year, and though recent events have meant that they will have to renegotiate the license, this should not prove to be an obstacle. The performance will be dedicated to Sir Terry Pratchett’s memory.

The company is composed of experienced actors and production staff. FAUST ERIC! has been a labour of love for the team, and they have started a Kickstarter campaign in order to ensure that the play is the best it can be. The crew have also promised to bring the notorious creature known only as The Luggage to stage, which should be a sight to see.
