The original Power Rangers are back in the newest trailer for Netflix’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, which takes place thirty years after the original show.

The anniversary special celebrates the return of some of the franchise’s earliest stars and characters, including David Yost as Blue Ranger Billy Cranston, Walter E. Jones as Black Ranger Zack Taylor, Catherine Sutherland as Pink Ranger Kat Hillard, and Steve Cardenas as Red Ranger Rocky DeSantos, as well as Richard Steven Horvitz as Alpha 5 and Barbara Goodson as Rita Repulsa. Karan Ashley’s second Yellow Ranger Aisha Campbell and Johnny Yong Bosch’s second Black Ranger Adam Park will also feature. Now it’s a reunion!

Beyond the returning cast, the trailer also introduced a new character: Minh Kwan (Charlie Kersh), the daughter of Yellow Ranger Trini Kwan. Thuy Trang, who portrayed the Yellow Ranger in the original Fox series, sadly died in 2001.

From the trailer, it looks like the filmmakers chose to write Trini’s death into the show, as Minh reveals her mother was killed by the villain Rita Repulsa. Jason David Frank, another of the original members who played the Green-then-White Ranger, also passed away late last year, though it remains unclear how Netflix’s Power Rangers will address this.

Per the logline: Thirty years after the wise and powerful Zordon formed the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the team comes face to face with a familiar threat from the past. In the midst of a global crisis, they are called on once again to be the heroes the world needs.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always releases on Netflix on April 19th. Watch the trailer below:
