There’s been a slight change to the programme at this year’s Film4 FrightFest Glasgow, with the World Premiere of John Suit’s awesome-looking sci-fi thriller Pandemic replacing the previously announced Cell.

Due to uncontrollable circumstances, Cell has had to be dropped from the festival, but Pandemic is a more than worthy replacement. Starring Rachel Nichols (Star Trek), Mekhi Phifer (Divergent), Pat Healy (Cheap Tricks), and Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones), it concerns a group trying to stay safe in a Los Angeles that has been devastated by a virus outbreak. What makes this film stand out, however, is it’s shot from a first-person shooter perspective, giving it an immersive feel.

A few more guests have also been announced; with directors Tyler MacIntyre (Patchwork), Joe Begos (The Mind’s Eye), Can Evrenol (Baskin) and Johannes Roberts (The Other Side of the Door) joining Paul Hyett (showcasing his latest Heretiks) and The Forest star Nathalie Dormer.

Tickets for single screenings are on sale from Monday, January 25th at 10am from the Glasgow Film Festival website.
