With an uber rare Boba Fett having recently sold at Vectis Auctions for £18,000, another STAR WARS collection is about to be put up for grabs when Mark Jackson’s goodies go up for sale on April 15th.

Vectis provided the following background on the sale:

Featuring in the April 15th TV and Film related sale is the Mark Jackson Star Wars collection, over 200 lots of Star Wars items from figures to playsets, and vehicles and games to display material and furniture.

Mark says, “I have been collecting vintage Star Wars for over 10 years. As with everyone my age I have the same old story of having tonnes of the toys as a kid but got rid of them as I grew up, then wanted them back. Aged 17 with my first wage I went online and bought a loose Yak Face figure for £70 and things just snowballed from there. I would buy anything that had Star Wars on it – clothing, furniture, toys, games, costumes, stationary, ANYTHING.”

“I did really enjoy trying to find store displays – especially as they were never available to the public so finding them was always a challenge. I also took a liking to foreign items – you could often find some strange and weird variations and odd looking things – a lot of which I am parting with in this sale. But I have now decided to let the majority go and let someone else have as much enjoyment from it as I have had. I have kept some toys for myself and will continue to collect but in a smaller way.”

“Once a Star Wars collector, ALWAYS a Star Wars collector……”

Mark’s collection, as he mentions, is not your typical Star Wars collection, with an eye for the weird and wonderful the Lots include a life-size Yoda, latex masks of Chewbacca, Darth Vader and Wicket; and an Ewok focus including plush toys, games, Videos and glasses as well as children’s’ furniture and ride on games. There are a number of rare foreign bootleg issues as well as the regular Palitoy and Kenner carded figures.
