With the 50th anniversary of Gerry Anderson’s Thunderbirds just around the corner, the team behind the celebrated documentary Filmed in Supermarionation have taken to Kickstarter to fund a new episode of the classic series, using original audio recorded in the ‘60s!

With full blessing from ITV, Sylvia Anderson and the estate of Gerry Anderson, Stephen La Rivière and his team will make a brand new puppet episode – in the style of the original – to synch up with the existing recordings. Naturally, these all include the voice talent from the series so many grew up with.
The Kickstarter has only just launched, and is already almost at its initial target – a true testament to the love people have for the creations of Gerry Anderson, whose work and legacy is being continued by his son, Jamie.

There’s plenty of fantastic perks on offer, so head over to the Kickstarter page to find out more and get involved.
