As preparations are growing for 2017’s STARBURST International Film Festival (SIFF), we delighted to announce that one of the rooms this year will be curated by Alex Davis from Film Gutter, who has put together a host of extreme horror films to sicken, repulse – and entertain! Joining us for the weekend will be the legendary Jörg Buttgereit, who will be giving us an introduction to his gore classic Nekromantik.

Other ‘delights’ on offer in the Film Gutter stream will be the UK Premiere of Stephen Biro’s American Guinea Pig: Song of Soloman, and uncut screenings of extreme horror classics Scrapbook (2000) and Melancholie Der Engel (2009), which will be accompanied by the new documentary on the movie Revisiting Melancholie Der Engel.

For more information, head over to the STARBURST International Film Festival web page.

The festival takes place over the August Bank Holiday weekend (Friday 25th – 26th) in Manchester and Early Bird tickets won’t last long! Make sure you don’t miss out by buying now.
