FIREFLY stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk have successfully crowdfunded a new comedy webseries within hours of the project being announced.
CON MAN is the story of two actors who starred in a popular sci-fi show which was cancelled before its time and are now regulars on the convention circuit. This show (based on the experiences of the two actors) is a light-hearted take on the personalities that make up the sci-fi community, from the comic book stall owners to the cosplayers and SMOFs. It’s also the story of a man learning to love and embrace his fans.
Tudyk said, “If you’ve gone to a sci-fi convention, you’ve only seen half of it. CON MAN delivers what convention ‘All-Access’ passes have only promised in the past. I’ve been to conventions from San Diego to Dubai and I have so many great experiences to share through the world of CON MAN. The sci-fi fans have changed my life and I want to give them a chance to see a new view of the world they built. I hope that the fans will join me in making this series a reality by supporting my Indiegogo campaign.”
