In a recent interview with The LA Times, director Zack Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan talked about the upcoming MAN OF STEEL. One topic that raised its head was the existence of other superheroes in the world that Snyder is creating with his film.

Snyder said, “Do the DC characters exist in the universe I created? The answer is yes. In my mind, we have this fantastic character of Superman. It’s not madness that there would be others.”

The director has also previously confirmed that we will see hints at other heroes in the MAN OF STEEL world, with him stating that we will see a Wayne Enterprises satellite in the film.

When then prompted on a possible Justice League film, Snyder responded, “Does a Justice League movie exist now? No. Whether or not I ever get to make that movie, I don’t know. What is real is that there’s a crack, a foot in the door. That’s promising. The door is definitely open.”

It’s largely believed that Warner Bros. see Snyder as the man to direct JUSTICE LEAGUE, although he himself has gone on record as saying that he’d rather do a sequel to MAN OF STEEL first. His plan is to flesh out the Superman character and the world and tone that the director is looking to establish.

MAN OF STEEL is officially released on Friday.
