With TERMINATOR: GENESIS now very much moving forward, Deadline is reporting that Alan Taylor’s movie is close to casting its Kyle Reese. The report goes on to say that the current two front-runners for the gig are A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD’s Jai Courtney and A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES Boyd Holbrook. Kyle Reese was last seen played by Anton Yelchin in McG’s TERMINATOR: SALVATION, whilst Michael Biehn was the first to tackle the role in James Cameron’s TERMINATOR.

As mentioned, the next installment in the TERMINATOR franchise is rapidly moving forward. Already on board are GAME OF THRONES’ Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor, ZERO DARK THIRTY’s Jason Clarke as John Connor, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Das Arnold’s role has been hazy so far, with certain rumours suggesting that Arnold will be playing a human who inspires the design of the T-800.

At present, TERMINATOR: GENESIS is scheduled for a 1st July, 2015.
