After the huge news that Batman will be a part of the MAN OF STEEL sequel, everyone’s attention is now turning to just who will be donning the cape and cowl for the film. One thing’s for sure, it will not be Christian Bale and this will be a completely new Batman. SPARTACUS star Liam McIntyre has been one of the first to throw his name out there.

Taking on Twitter, McIntyre said, “Oh my god. So there’s going to be a new Batman. It’s time to dream big.”

I’m sure this is going to be the first of many names putting themselves up for the role, although McIntyre most definitely has the look and build to pull off the role. Current plans call for the MAN OF STEEL sequel to start production next year, with a summer 2015 release being targeted.

In the meantime, McIntyre will next be seen in Renny Harlin’s HERCULES 3D.
