British filmmaker Paul Davis is teaming up with SEVERANCE screenwriter James Moran to bring us the brilliantly titled SILENT NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

The Christmas themed horror flick will mark Davis’ feature length movie debut, with previous output being in the documentary field – he was writer/director of the acclaimed AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON documentary BEWARE THE MOON, and has INTO THE DARK: EXPLORING THE HORROR FILM hitting next year.

As played out as the zombie genre is getting these days, it’s nice to see a filmmaker putting a fresh spin on it, and we can’t recall the last Christmas horror movie we saw… It can’t be GREMLINS can it?!

The story of SNOTLD revolves around a group of people who take refuge in a deserted school building on Christmas Eve… to survive the hungry zombie hordes shuffling through the snow covered streets outside.

SILENT NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD will go before cameras early next year for a Christmas release. We’re rooting for this one!

Is there room for another zombie movie, or should they stay dead and buried? Share thoughts with your fellow readers in the Comments below or on Twitter @Starburst_Mag
