Well, they’ve been adapting comic books for a while now, why not a magazine?

Jason Blum, the producer behind the inanely successful PARANORMAL ACTIVITY series, and George Plamondon & Betsy Schechter, creators of the supernatural reality show PARANORMAL STATE, are set to work together on bringing FATE magazine to our screens. Anyone outside of the US is unlikely to have heard of the publication (I’ll come clean, I had to look it up myself), but it’s basically the equivalent of the UK’s own Fortean Times – a monthly collection of weird and wonderful tales from around the world. Ghosts, UFO’s, Yeti encounters, all that sweet stuff!

The project is being groomed for not both TV and big-screen versions, and with so many issues to pilfer from – it was launched in 1948 and still runs today – then why not. With Blum’s clout behind it, they could conceivably have the next TWILIGHT ZONE on their hands.
