Paramount, together with the Montecito Picture Company, have signed rising actor turned writer Jason Fuchs (ICE AGE: CONTINENTAL DRIFT) to pen their latest acqusition, children’s puzzle book THE CLOCK WITHOUT A FACE.

According to Deadline, the studio are attaching some kind of time-travel plot to the property, which doesn’t appear to factor into the source’s 30 page narrative – a mystery surrounding the stolen emerald numerals from an ancient cursed clock. Then again we haven’t read it, so…

Eli Horowitz & Mac Barnett created the book, while Scott Teplin illustrated. In a stroke of absolute genius, the trio actually hid the twelve ‘fictional’ stolen jewels in locations across America, with eleven having been found by readers decoding the mysteries within the pages since its May 2010 release.

Check out the official website here. Would have flipped for something like this as a kid.

With an acclaimed source, an in demand writer and a nifty premise, THE CLOCK WITHOUT A FACE could conceivably turn out to be a big, fun, family-friendly take on THE DA VINCI CODE! Actually I take it back, that sounds awful.

Anybody read this thing? Would it lend itself to making a good movie? Let us know in the Comments below or on Twitter @Starburst_Mag
