Van Damme and Lundgren are back!!! Together again for the first time since… last month’s EXPENDABLES 2. Bit anti-climatic that. Well, UNIVERSAL SOLDIER fans are in for a treat anyway, as DAY OF RECKONING sees the pair reprise their characters created in the 1992 original and last seen in 2009’s UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: REGENERATION. Despite being the sixth film in the series, DAY OF RECKONING is only the third to be accepted as canon (UNIVERSAL SOLDIER II: BROTHERS IN ARMS; UNIVERSAL SOLDIER III: UNFINISHED BUSINESS and UNIVERSAL SOLDIER: THE RETURN are all cheeky pretenders, unworthy of Devlin & Emmerich’s genius).
