In a recent interview with Collider, director Zack Snyder has been discussing how he sees the future of the cinematic DC universe panning out. Whilst the on again/off again/pushed back JUSTICE LEAGUE is lurking ominously in the background, Snyder revealed that he personally has no rush to get to a JLA film.

He said, “I feel like you need to get Superman a little further down the road before you can do a Justice League movie.”

With AVENGERS ASSEMBLE only putting further pressure on DC to bring together their very best heroes, Snyder seems to be of the viewpoint that the Big, Blue Boy Scout needs some solo development first. Seeing as MAN OF STEEL is a complete reboot of the Superman movieverse, it would make sense to give Supes a few individual adventures first, as then it gives the audience the chance to get a feel for the new world that Warner Bros. is trying to create… which brings us on nicely to a certain Caped Crusader.

Snyder also went on to reveal that, even though MAN OF STEEL will not directly lead into JUSTICE LEAGUE, it will hint at the existence of other DC characters. He added, “The Wayne Enterprises logo is on a satellite that Zod destroys. I don’t know if this means that Superman and Batman will team up. Everything is interesting at this point. And don’t forget that Lex is out there, doing who knows what.”

Whilst all of these interviews are nice, it’s going to take a hell of a lot to surprise me when MAN OF STEEL rolls around on 14th June.
