Few projects have urged a re-read of the plot as much as Kevin Smith’s new horror/comedy Tusk, which drifts ever closer, as Smith confirmed (via twitter) that the film shoot will end this Friday. In addition to this, Smith asked us a question, and one could argue it’s the most important question since the chicken and the egg debate. He asks, “Is a man, indeed, a Walrus at heart?” Deep Mr. Smith, very deep. Seriously though, Tusk sounds to be coming along great and on the evidence of this design (released via instagram) for the film’s creature (see below), this could be Smith’s battiest film in quite some time.

The official synopsis reads:

Tusk follows a podcaster (Justin Long) who sets out to interview an eccentric, reclusive old seafarer, only to find himself a plaything in the gruesome plot of a deranged killer (Michael Parks).

A horror to leave you blubbering or could this be left toothless? Let’s hope this film can match its potential come its (as yet unspecified) 2014 release date. Bring on the madness, koo koo kachoo!
