Avatar Press’ acclaimed comic book series CROSSED is getting the live-action treatment, with creator Garth Ennis stepping in to write and direct.

We should imagine anybody who’s read CROSSED are justifiably questioning how on Earth the property will ever survive the transition from page to screen. This series is brutally violent, telling the terrifying story of a plague that causes the infected to carry out their most depraved thoughts. In short, it’s very rapey. Even dolphins aren’t safe.

Yeah, it’s definitely not going to be everybody’s cup of tea that’s for sure.

Ennis will first develop a series of CROSSED webisodes, which will then lead to a feature-length movie. We wish him the best of luck getting any of it past the censors!
