Steve Jobs Movie Announced

Gritty director David Fincher and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin, the creative team behind the unsettling Facebook origin drama THE SOCIAL NETWORK, are set to take on another giant of the computing industry, Apple, specifically Steve Jobs who sadly passed away in 2011.

Fincher is currently in talks regarding the as-of-yet untitled drama. The screenplay was adapted from the official Steve Jobs biography by Walter Issacson. Speaking to The Daily Beast, Sorkin revealed: “This entire movie is going to be three scenes and three scenes only. That all take place in real time.”

Last year’s JOBS, starring Ashton Kutcher, functioned in the traditional vein of a biopic, dramatizing the rocky history of Apple. The UK has yet to see a theatrical release. The tempestuous story of Steve Jobs seems better suited for Fincher’s dirty realist style. Great things may well be in the works.
