After months of wrangling and negotiation, independent sci-fi horror flick CRAWL OR DIE has received a distribution deal. It will be released in North America and Japan in July, with numerous other territories, including the UK, currently still being negotiated.

CRAWL OR DIE takes place in a dystopian future where Earth has become an uninhabitable disease-ridden wasteland. The sole fertile woman still alive – and the only hope for the future – is to be transported by a team of Special Forces specialists to her new home, an apparently hospitable world designated Earth Two. Upon arrival, the planet turns out to be far from the safe haven they believed it to be and the team are forced underground into an endless labyrinth of cramped rooms and cylindrical tunnels. Hunted by an unstoppable creature and nowhere to go but forwards through a maze that shrinks in size with every step taken, they must protect the woman whatever the cost if the human race is to survive.

Originally with the far more awesome but somewhat less distribution-friendly title of CRAWL BITCH CRAWL, the production will have taken nigh on four years from initial inception to final delivery, with almost every aspect undertaken by fantastically-monikered director Oklahoma Ward and ass-kicking star Nicole Alonso, who may very well soon become your new favourite horror queen.

The film will be given a theatrical release followed by DVD, VOD and digital download on a plethora of platforms, while plans for the two remaining instalments of a trilogy will be put into motion almost immediately afterwards. Updates can be found on Facebook, Instagram and the official website, and the claustrophobia-inducing trailer can be viewed below.
