The ever-increasing cast of ARROW has now added yet another familiar DC face to its ranks. Joining the likes of ‘Green’ Arrow, Deathstroke, Deadshot, ‘Brother’ Blood, China White, Huntress, Firefly, Black Canary, Bronze Tiger, Isabel Rochev et al… we’re now going to be getting Mark Scheffer, aka the villainous Shrapnel.

The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop, with FIREFLY’s Sean Maher to play the crazed bomber. How much the ARROW version of the character will resemble his comic-book version, we’re not so sure. What is sure, though, is that the show’s character will have a similar M.O. to his comic-book incarnation. By that, we mean he likes to blow shit up, and he’s expected to be targeting some of Starling City’s biggest buildings, and also rumoured to target Kevin Alejandro’s Sebastian Blood. My guess, and it is purely that at this stage, is that any attack of Blood will be done to make him a political martyr in the eyes of the public. Either way, Shrapnel is set to debut in the tenth episode of this current season.
