April 2014 will see the continuing adventures of Captain America on the big-screen, and as it’s now begun to go before cameras that essentially guarantees us a solid 12 months of leaked set pics, official image teases, posters, teaser trailers, teaser trailers for the teaser trailer, actual trailers that give away way too much and TV spots! This would be pretty frustrating were it not for the fact that those momentous amount of months will be filled with tales from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many of which will inform THE WINTER SOLDIER’s plot itself – Joss Whedon’s AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. in particular.

Of the brief WINTER SOLDIER plot details we know, the script (by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely) features a bigger role for Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow as she teams up with Cap to bring down a “powerful yet shadowy enemy in present day Washington DC”, while also flashing back to the forties, the man out of time’s true home.
