It seems as if directors just can’t leave their smart phones alone for two minutes these days, what with Bryan Singer and Marc Webb tweeting pics almost daily from their respective sets. While this is a great way to keep fans buzzing about projects they won’t get to see for over a full year, let’s face it, these sneaky peeks are largely way too “safe” to be of real interest. Webb’s latest bucks that trend however, confirming the appearance of the Ravencroft Institute, the Marvel equivalent of Arkham Asylum. Did we already glimpse inside this supervillain prison at the end of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN, when The Lizard was paid a visit by the shadowy Norman Osborn, or has this got something to do with Electro and/or The Rhino? All will be revealed in exactly 13 months time…

Official Synopsis:

“In The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.”

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 opens April 18th 2014.
