With Marvel’s Luke Cage set to hit Netflix tomorrow, now comes word that one of Cage’s cohorts will be joining him in The Defenders.

Simone Missick will be playing the heroic Misty in Marvel’s Luke Cage, and the actress has revealed that she’ll be a part of the crossover mini-series known as The Defenders. In that show, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage, and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist will be coming together to tackle a to-be-confirmed ‘big bad’. It’s also believed that Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will be a part of the mini-series, too.

Speaking to The Wrap, Missick said, “I believe I’m safe to say that I will be on The Defenders. Spoiler alert! If I lose my job because of this interview, sorry! I was supposed to be on The Defenders, until I got fired.”

The current plan for The Defenders is for it to start production later this year ahead of a 2017 debut on Netflix. As mentioned, Marvel’s Luke Cage will land on the on-demand streaming service tomorrow.
