It’s fair to say, The CW’s DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is a bit of a mixed bag of a show. As the series’ ragtag bunch of Legends travel through time to fight the good fight, we’ve had some fantastic adventures and also some so-so-at-best shenanigans. Now though, one of the team’s upcoming missions has been revealed: convincing George Lucas to stick with his plan of being a filmmaker.

EW is reporting that Lucas will be at the centre of one of the Legends’ new adventures when Season 2 of the show returns from its mid-season break. The episode is titled Raiders of the Lost Art and will see the likes of White Canary, The Atom, Firestorm, and Vixen heading to 1964 Los Angeles to meet a young George Lucas who will be played by Sweet/Vicious’ Matt Angel.

On the episode, executive producer Marc Guggenheim said, “Because of circumstances, the time aberration in episode 209 is George Lucas quits film school. As a result, he never makes Star Wars or Raiders of the Lost Ark. As a result, Ray, who became an engineer because of Star Wars, and Nate, who became a historian because of Raiders, slowly start to lose their brilliance, because those things that inspired them to become who they are didn’t exist.”

Raiders of the Lost Art will air on January 24th in the US, with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow to return shortly after that on Sky1 in the UK.
