With several new additions already revealed earlier this week, Marvel’s Netflix-exclusive Luke Cage has now found its Cornell Cottonmouth.

To be known in the show as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, the rogue will be played by The Hunger Games’ Mahershala Ali. Created by Len Wein and George Tuska, the comic book Cottonmouth (not to be confused with Serpent Society’s villain of the same name…) debuted back in 1974’s Power Man #19 as a no-good pimp and drug lord. In Marvel’s upcoming Luke Cage show, Cottonmouth is officially described as “a Harlem nightclub owner who will become an unexpected foe in Luke’s life when Stokes’ criminal activities threaten Luke’s world.”

With Mike Colter starring as the titular Cage, the show’s roster is also currently made up of Alfre Woodard as the series’ main villain, Black Mariah, and then there’s Theo Rossi as rogue Shades and Simone Missick as Misty Knight, herself one of the good guys. Additionally, it’s been confirmed that Rosario Dawson’s Claire Temple from Daredevil will making an appearance in Luke Cage.

After Cage debuts in the Krysten Ritter-starring Jessica Jones early next year, he’ll go on to headline his own show later on in 2016.
