With a live-action Teen Titans show now finally in development, the upcoming series has moved to bring in its first cast member.
As per Deadline, Australian newcomer Teagan Croft has landed the role of fan favourite character Raven. In the comic book world, Raven’s main powers are that she’s a hugely powerful psychic who can absorb emotions from others in addition to being capable of teleportation, telekinesis, and astral projection. Oh, and she also just so happens to be the daughter of the demon Trigon.
Known simply as Titans, the current early word on this new show reads:
Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others.
At this stage, the plan is for Titans to launch at some point next year on Warners Bros. new digital subscription service.
As ever, of course, expect more on this hotly-anticipated new series as it continues to develop.
