Following news earlier this week that the show had found its Black Bolt and Medusa, now comes word that Marvel’s The Inhumans has brought in Ken Leung as Minister Karnak.

Leung is best known for the likes of The Night Shift and Lost, whilst the ability of Karnak is that he can see the fault in any and everything, be it people, buildings, plans, or anything else. His main job is that of chief strategist to King Black Bolt.

On this addition, Marvel’s Jeph Loeb said, “Ken brings both a wisdom and a power to the role that no one else could match. His Karnak will be awesome.”

Showrunner Scott Buck added, “Ken Leung has a great natural intelligence that reads clearly and will add depth and complexity to the very complicated character of Karnak.”

Just this week, Hell on Wheels’ Anson Mount was cast as Black Bolt and TRON: Legacy’s Serinda Swan was cast as Medusa. Before that, Game of Thrones’ Iwan Rheon was the first officially announced cast member, with him on board to play Maximus.

The Inhumans as a group have been around in the comic book realm since 1965. Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, the alien race all have their own unique powers. In more recent decades, their popularity and prominence in the Marvel Comics world has grown massively.

Where Marvel’s The Inhumans is concerned, the series is a unique beast in the way that its two-part pilot will have a two-week run in IMAX cinemas in September before heading to ABC for the rest of its episodes.
