With it initially believed that she wouldn’t be back for the next installment in the franchise, Kate Beckinsale will indeed return for Underworld 5.

The Hollywood Reporter brings word of the news, with Beckinsale to reprise her role of vampire warrior Selene. Additionally, it’s also being reported that Anna Foerster has been brought on board to helm the movie. Foerster is best known for being the director of photography on Roland Emmerich’s White House Down.

As well as Beckinsale, it’s been previously revealed that Theo James will be back as vampire David in this next outing for the franchise.

This fifth installment of the Underworld series is set to start production in October, with an official release date not revealed as of yet.
