As Arrow gears up for its eighth and final season, now comes word that Rila Fukushima will be returning for the Emerald Archer’s swansong.

Courtesy of Green Arrow TV, Fukushima will be back as Tatsu Yamashiro, aka Katana.

The Tatsau character was a key part of the show’s third season and even had a fleeting appearance in Season 4, but the badass warrior has not been seen since.

In the show’s final season, the second episode is titled Welcome to Hong Kong and will see Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen reunited with Tatsu.

One other character whose status for Season 8 is a little more uncertain is Colton Haynes’ Roy Harper. Haynes has recently taken to Twitter to say that he’s not been asked back as a series regular, although showrunner Beth Schwartz has talked up how she’d love to have Haynes back in some form or fashion.

Arrow’s final season begins on October 15th and will be made be made up of a shorter ten-episode run.
