The upcoming Harry Potter spin-off trilogy has yet to even see its first film hit the big screen yet, but director David Yates has revealed that the second of these movies has already been written.

J.K. Rowling is responsible for penning the script for the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, and Yates confirmed that Rowling has already finished writing the script for the sequel to November’s Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Speaking to GSNews at the premiere for his The Legend of Tarzan, Yates revealed that Rowling has “written the second one” and she’s already “got ideas for the third one.”

He added, “When we adapted the books you would always have to leave out things that you hated leaving out because they didn’t quite work within the structure of the storytelling for the movie or the movie would just be far too long. With this, it’s just pure Jo from the first page to the last page.”

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne as magical zoologist Newt Scamander, is currently set to hit UK cinemas on November 18th. The film is the first of a trilogy to be based on the book of the same name.
