With Sony Pictures having confirmed that the Men in Black and Jump Street crossover will officially be titled MIB 23, the film has now found a director.

Having been in talks since March, James Bobin will be overseeing the crossover, with the Alice Through the Looking Glass director revealing to ComingSoon that he’s now on board. “Yes, it’s very early stages, obviously,” he said, “but I’ve always loved the Men in Black world. Channing in 21 Jump Street are just so funny. Those guys and their world makes me laugh every time I think about it. That’s always a good sign for a film.”

As well as Alice Through the Looking Glass, which is released in the UK on May 27th, Bobin is best known for The Muppets, Muppets Most Wanted, helming a bunch of the ever-awesome Flight of the Conchords, and for directing more Ali G offerings than were likely ever needed.
