Earlier this year, Sylvester Stallone teased the concept of Ivan Drago having a role to play in the Creed sequel, and now Sly has moved to seemingly confirm Drago’s presence in the follow-up.

That initial tease saw Stallone take to his social media pages to post a knocked together photo of Michael B. Jordan’s Creed standing opposite Dolph Lundgren’s Ivan Drago, with a message about the “sins of the father” hinting at Drago’s son potentially have a role to play in Creed 2.

Now, Sly has taken to his Instagram page to apparently confirm a Drago appearance in the sequel:

What’s that, you say? Why, that’s a bunch of near-ineligible notes. The key, however, is in the caption for this picture: “JUST DONE… if you are curious, around 439 handwritten pages translates into about a 120 page typed screenplay… #writers cramp #rockybalboa #drago #adoniscreed #MGM”

Of course, the Ivan Drago character appeared in Rocky IV, with him killing Rocky’s bestest bud Apollo Creed; the same Apollo whose soon is Jordan’s Adonis Creed.

Whether Creed 2 features Ivan Drago and/or his son, we’ll have to wait and see. As ever, though, we’ll bring you more on the Creed sequel as it continues to develop.
