Horror Channel will be serving up a host of premieres in April, with something for everyone and plenty of fantastic movies that are ripe for rediscovery.

April 9th sees the Network Premiere of the 1999 remake of the classic House on Haunted Hill. Starring Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush (in the role originally played by Vincent Price in the 1958 version) as the host of a sinister party in which guests stand the chance of getting a million dollars if they can survive the night.

The subject of INDEPENDENTS DAY in this month’s STARBURST (on sale now), Containment (2015) – directed by Neil Mcenery-West – receives its first television screening on April 15th. A tense thriller set in a Southampton tower block that has been quarantined and turned into a pressure cooker situation.

Rock star Roger Daltrey stars in The Legacy (1978) on April 16th, alongside Sam Elliott and Katherine Ross in a story of sinister cults and pure evil. Directed by Richard Marquand (Return of the Jedi), it’s an overlooked British horror classic.

An all-star cast – including Stallan Skarsgard, Melissa George, Selma Blair, and the ever-popular Tom Hardy – appear in Waz (2007) on Apil 22nd.

Legendary British director Norman J. Warren’s first horror thriller Satan’s Slave (1976) makes its Horror Channel debut on April 23rd, and is certainly one not to be missed. A gore-and-nudity packed classic, it stars Michael Gough (Batman, Horror Hospital) and Martin Potter (Goodbye Gemini).

Roadside (2013) receives its UKTV Premiere on April 29th, and the film that saw the return of Hammer, Wake Wood (2010) – starring Timothy Spall and Aiden Gillen – makes its channel debut on April 30th.
