Stranded in space after a devastating battle, the Master Chief wakes from his cryo-sleep with another threat looming. The Forerunners, an ancient race with untold knowledge of technology
have returned to the galaxy. It was their technology that the Covenant tried to use for their own
ends. It was the Forerunners who built the rings known as Halo’s. Their motives are unknown but they do pose a serious threat, more so than the covenant.

Halo 4 is the first in a new trilogy. It will be centred around Master Chief and his fight against the
Forerunners. It will be interesting to see how the new enemy fits into the lore of this established universe. The developers of the game, 343 Industries, have released a video which sheds some light on the new enemy, particularly how they were designed. Check it out in the player below…
