In a move that can only be applauded, Capcom have today announced a free update for Resident Evil 6, in response to customer “feedback” (that’ll be plain old complaining to you and me).

So what have they changed you ask? Well firstly you’ll now be able to adjust the camera to suit your playing style (essentially you can zoom in tight over the shoulder or go loose for the full 3rd person experience).

Zoom In…

and out.

Secondly there are changes to subtitles so that the English audio can be combined with an alternative language, which could be useful for… French homework? Regardez un zombi!! There’s also a new ‘No Hope’ difficulty level for those who like an ‘extreme’ challenge, or just dying a lot. Finally, in what seems to be the placation of very lazy gamers, Ada Wong’s campaign will now be unlocked from the start.

The Resident Evil 6 update will be available on PS3 and XBox 360 from mid-December.
