Those fine creators of books that look incredible on the shelf, The Folio Society, has produced a special edition of H. P. Lovecraft’s The Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories, and have added Alan Moore to the mix for good measure.

The world famous omnibus is considered the definitive collection of Lovecraft’s work and has been around for decades. This new edition comes in two forms: an extremely limited simulated leather bound tome and a slightly more common (but equally exquisite) cloth-blocked-binding edition. Both look like they could give the Necronomicon a run for its money.

H. P. Lovecraft has not only influenced modern day authors but has also influenced the gaming industry. Many RPG video games have taken influence including Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, The Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimDragonborn, Shadowman, Dead Space, Fallout and the release later this year of Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game.

The collection includes Introduction/Preface by Moore and Illustrations by Dan Hillier – watch the special clip below for more information.
