We’ve known for a little while that a Justice League Dark animated movie was on the way later this year, but now we’ve got confirmation of the cast… including the return of Matt Ryan as John Constantine.

Ryan, of course, played Hellblazer himself in NBC’s sadly-canned Constantine series before making an appearance as the character in the recent fourth season of The CW’s Arrow. As part of a first-look featurette for Justice League Dark that was released in the aftermath of the recent animated adaptation of The Killing Joke, it’s been confirmed that Ryan’s Constantine will be joined by Grey’s Anatomy’s Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Blue Bloods’ Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, voice talent veteran Ray Case as Jason Blood/Etrigan, and Jason O’Mara once again returning to voice Batman. In addition to these characters, Black Orchid and Swamp Thing will also feature as part of the movie’s titular team, whilst there will be small cameo roles for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern.

The Justice League Dark team themselves were only introduced in 2011 as part of DC’s (ultimately doomed) New 52 relaunch, with the more magical, supernatural names of the DC Universe coming together to battle threats that only they could take down.

As for that first-look footage, you can find that in the player below:

Justice League Dark will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital later this year.
